The three most famous Mughal Gardens in Srinagar are:

1. Shalimar Bagh: Built by Emperor Jahangir for his wife, Nur Jahan, in 1619, Shalimar Bagh is one of the largest Mughal gardens. It has terraced lawns, fountains, and shaded pavilions.


2. Nishat Bagh: Located on the eastern side of Dal Lake, Nishat Bagh was built in 1633 by Asif Khan, the brother of Nur Jahan. It offers stunning views of the Dal Lake and Zabarwan Mountains, with 12 terraces cascading down toward the lake.


3. Chashme Shahi: This smaller garden was built in 1632 by Ali Mardan Khan under Emperor Shah Jahan. It is famous for its natural spring and elegant design, located on the slopes of the Zabarwan range.
